Teatro do Sopro is a Brazil-based social enterprise, established in 2012, which seeks personal, organizational and social changes through the art of the clown.
Teatro do Sopro co-founder Olivier-Hugues Terreault (Ashoka Fellow and BrazilFoundation Leader) brings 12 years of experience as co-founder of Dr Clown Foundation, Canada’s largest professional organization of therapeutic clowns.
OUR INSPIRATION
We aspire to reconnect people through the development of their resilience, empathy and creativity.
We believe that these qualities are essential to the human empowerment process and that the clown figure is the most powerful archetype to teach these skills.
Our human nature is creative, free and generous, but the fear of failure and rejection often paralyzes us.
But the clown, through his lightness and curiosity, cultivates emotional intelligence, transcends fear, and opens the doors of the mind and heart, liberating and connecting us all.
